Project Summary | The project’s primary goal is to provide high-quality, student-focused review materials for enhanced learning and academic success at UBC. AMS Tutoring aims to build a dynamic, accessible resource library tailored to students’needs. By funding tutors to create these materials, we allow customization based on student feedback and course demands. Our focus is on creating review materials for the top eight courses we support, targeting high-demand subjects often taken by new UBC students, helping them transition smoothly to post-secondary education. We also emphasize developing practice exams to complement existing study materials, boosting students’ exam preparation and confidence. Finally, our materials will be openly accessible and we’ll collaborate with the Centre for Accessibility to ensure compatibility with accessible technologies. This open access promotes continuous learning and academic excellence. We believe that the availability of interactive practice materials is a key aspect of students’ academic success. These materials not only serve as valuable tools to test and consolidate their understanding but also promote active learning, encouraging students to engage deeply with the course content. By utilizing our initiative, UBC students will gain the support and resources necessary to excel in their studies. |
