Since January 2024, the OER Fund has awarded over $350,000 to support 26 open educational resource (OER) projects. In 2024, 16 projects received funding—six through OER Affordability Grants and ten through Rapid Innovation Grants. In the first half of 2025, an additional ten projects were funded, including eight OER Affordability Grants and two Rapid Innovation Grants. These projects span eight different Faculties or units. Once completed, the OER developed through these initiatives are expected to benefit more than 10,500 students per term, generating over $1 million in estimated cost savings.
