Project SummaryDeeply understanding molecular biology in this new era of AI protein folding and structural biology is meaningfully enhanced when you can visualize the molecular details of a biological process. The closer you can get to the atomic scale, the more readily a mechanism emerges. Giving our learners the opportunity to explore biochemistry at this scale will enable a more meaningful understanding of the content. This project team will develop detailed mechanistic schematics and molecular modeling videos that highlight the exciting biochemical processes involved in information transfer and these will be accompanied by expanded figure legends and text to guide the user through these incredible processes. The team will build H5P interactive mini lectures, alongside additional practice questions. Combined, this multi-media, focused learning resource package will replace the currently used traditional textbook in BIOC 302 and if successful, in BIOC 303.
